Eligibility Criteria for BNYS Programme
1. Age limit
Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. Proof of age must be submitted when required. Any admission secured through false age claims will be cancelled, and all fees paid will be forfeited.
2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects. A minimum of 55% marks is required for General & OBC categories, while SC & ST candidates must secure at least 50% marks.
3. INELIGIBLE CATEGORIES
The following candidates are not eligible to apply for the B.N.Y.S. course:
- Candidates from the vocational stream are currently not eligible for admission.
- Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission.
- Candidates who have not studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in 10+2 or equivalent are not eligible.
MERIT & SELECTION CRITERIA
- Admission ranking is based on marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects.
- To maintain fairness across different education boards (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards), marks are normalized on a 200-mark scale.
- Overall academic consistency and performance in qualifying examinations are also considered during the admission process.
Additional Notes
- Candidates with equivalent qualifications must provide an Eligibility Certificate issued by the respective State Board.
- Applicants whose mark sheets are based on grades must submit an official Marks Conversion Certificate.
