At KNKCNYS, we are committed to fostering a respectful, transparent, and inclusive academic environment. The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) is established as a structured mechanism for resolving complaints, ensuring that grievances are addressed promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
Objectives
To create a responsive and accountable mechanism for redressal of grievances. • To ensure all complaints are handled respectfully and confidentially. • To promote transparency and trust between students, faculty, and administration. • To adhere to guidelines issued by UGC, NMC (National Medical Commission), and other regulatory bodies.
This Cell addresses grievances related to:
Academic matters (e.g., internal assessment, attendance issues) • Examination or evaluation disputes • Laboratory, library, or hospital resource complaints • Disciplinary actions or unfair treatment • Harassment or discrimination (excluding sexual harassment, which is handled by the ICC) • Hostel and campus facility issues • Administrative or staff misconduct

Grievance Submission Process
Grievances may be submitted via:

Anonymous complaints will be considered if sufficient detail is provided, though resolution may be limited in such cases.
Procedure for Grievance Redressal
1. Acknowledgement: Complaint is acknowledged within 3 working days. 2. Preliminary Review: Convener checks if the grievance is within the Cell’s purview. 3. Hearing: Involved parties are invited to provide statements. 4. Investigation: Documents and evidence are reviewed. 5. Resolution: Decision is made within 15 working days. 6. Appeal: If unsatisfied, the complainant may appeal to the College Grievance Appeals Committee (CGAC) within 7 days.
Key Principles
Confidentiality: All complaints are handled with strict confidentiality. • Natural Justice: Both complainant and respondent have the right to be heard. • Non-Retaliation: No action will be taken against any complainant acting in good faith. • Timeliness: The GRC strives to resolve all grievances within 15 working days
Special Cases
• Sexual Harassment: Handled by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the POSH Act. • Ragging: Forwarded to the Anti-Ragging Committee, as per UGC/NMC guidelines.
Reporting and Review
The GRC shall maintain a confidential record of all complaints and resolutions and submit a biannual report to the Principal for review and necessary action.
